We are built with an amazing emotional pallet. There are so many ranges and degrees to the emotions that we feel on a day to day basis, that it is amazing! Almost every minute of every day you are feeling some kind of emotion. It is not something that you think about much unless you are feeling it on a powerful scale, otherwise it is just there, existing silently! When I am doing workshops I actually find it kind of interesting because many times people do not even notice that they are feeling anything...until I ask them to close their eyes and concentrate on what they are feeling in the heart center. People just take it for granted like they walk, talk and breath every day, it is a part of everyday, it is normal. However, this is something that you should definitely be more aware of, because your emotions are food for the Soul! Just like in the physical world, you need to watch what you consume on a spiritual level as well. Now I am sure that you are saying, "Just Great! One more thing to pay attention to!" This is true, however, this one will affect everything in your life so it is ULTRA important. (Knock some other things off of the list if you need to!)
People experience worry, stress, anger, depression, happiness, desire, excitement, boredom just to name a few, many minutes of every single day. The thing that people never pay attention to or seem to notice is that you feel all of these emotions in the body, many times in the heart center. People think that emotions are felt in the head, because they cry and laugh or get angry and it all shows up in the face. It also feels like that is where you control your emotions, so again, it is naturally just viewed as a mind thing or a head thing. It may absolutely start there, because emotions are a result of your perspective on any given situation. However, emotions are clearly tied to the body. There have been multiple studies on this very issue with cardiovascular patients, and type A personalities, but it is not observed nearly enough by people, unless they are having heart trouble.
As a psychic I see it all of the time and I see these emotions tied to many other things as well, stomach problems, headaches, backaches, intestinal problems, anxiety, breathing, it is incredible! This is something that is SO important to pay attention to if you want to live a healthier life, and doctors all over the country are beginning to recognize this as well.
Now if you change your perception of this and start paying more attention to the emotions that you are experiencing on a day to day basis and imagining that it is food for the Soul. What are you feeding your Soul?
Take a look at this Soul food chart:
Anger ~ Candy Bar
Worry ~ Soda
Depression ~ Alcohol
Hate ~ Triple Bacon Cheeseburger
Jealousy ~ Cotton Candy
Unhappiness ~ Cake & Cookies
Desire ~ Chicken + Calcium
Excitement ~ Potatoes + Vitamins A & C
Happiness ~ Vegetables, Fruits + Vitamin B
Love ~ Fish, Fresh Bread + Minerals
Now obviously we are not going to feed our body or our Soul only good foods, that would be almost impossible unless you are incredibly disciplined, and if you are, you probably do not need to read on!
Anyhow, the key is, like with most things to have a good balance. In other words, make sure that you do your best to consume nutrients instead of empty calories. Because if you have tipped the scale mostly toward empty calories you are going to feel tired, hopeless, crappy, and your health is going to suffer. Your Soul can only take so much of the empty calories before it begins to wither. When your Soul begins to wither everything else will be effected, it is the ruler of your Spiritual and Physical existence.
When you take good care of your Soul life becomes amazingly well on many different levels. Your physical existence can become greatly extended and your quality of life is soooooo much better!!! Trials and tribulations can feel easier to overcome and in some cases they will feel fewer and further between. Think of it like this, that you are paying attention to and working on building up your Soul's immune system. Because things do come up and you will have to go through many of the same stressors that other people do, but it is much easier if you start with a solid vessel and weather the storm that way.
So just remember to try and have a mostly good diet, then when the empty calories sneak in, you will bounce back quickly!
